I have attended Heather’s cooking classes and have thoroughly enjoyed them!! I learned various ways to create fresh and satisfying dishes by combining different flavors in a low-glycemic fashion. Heather’s recipes also gave me a good indication that I am headed in the right direction with respect to my existing food choices/ingredients before attending her classes. I look forward to “turning over a new leaf” in my diet and to Heather’s future culinary creations.

    Thai Lettuce Wraps are Delicious
Tonight my house smelled heavenly delicious after I made the Thai Lettuce Wraps. This is the best money I have ever spent on a cookbook. Everything is so healthy and my family loves what I am cooking for them. Tonight’s supper had some items I had never cooked with before, fresh lime juice, Hoisin Sauce, Rice Vinegar…and the Peanut Sauce was fantastic. We didn’t even make the Chili Sauce (but it sounded great too). You can’t go wrong with this collection of recipes. It comes in it’s own plastic case and opens like a 3 ring binder.
I’m going to try them all.

I love the concept of the binder and taking the recipe out when I need it. I even take it with me when I go to market (saves writing down the ingredients I would need).
AND I LOVE the themed ideas…even Breakfast themes. My favorites: Asian and Middle Eastern…and Low-Glycemic French – who knew!?!
Thanks Heather ( I still like the idea of you cooking and delivering it to me though :-))

The Vegetarian Cooking Class was delightful as well as delicious! Being able to taste the food/dishes as well as to SEE the ingredients needed was huge to me. How often do we restock our kitchen in order to try a new recipe only to find that we didn’t enjoy the dish and will never make it again! How often do we wonder the aisles of grocery stores looking for an ingredient that we’re not sure whether it is a spice, a vegetable or a canned item!
These classes are a great way of “trying before buying”!

    • Thank you so much for your comments Victoria! I created the cooking classes to be hands-on and teach people new ingredients and techniques as well as delicious, healthy food. I want people to taste the food they are getting the recipes for and answer any questions they may have. Helping others BE Healthy is my passion. I am glad you liked the class! 😉

I love going to the cooking classes!!! I haven’t been able to go recently, as I live in Detroit, but most definitely Heather is the most exciting and smart cook I know. When I first met Heather I started eating so many new, homemade, and delicious meals that she would make and it just broadened my pallet.
My favorite recipes are the German potato salad and German red cabbage.
These alternative, healthy meals are fantastic and I truly cannot say enough about them!!! 🙂
    Thanks for sharing Heather!

I attended many of Heather’s classes when she first began to teach them. I did not have much skill when it came to cooking so it was very helpful for me to see exactly how to do everything…I didn’t even know how to work with fresh garlic! I have learned a ton from going to her classes and gained a lot of great recipes. I have also obtained a few new cooking utensils that she used and a food processor which has been very helpful to have. Her classes have shown me that cooking is not as hard as it seems and that I am actually able to cook a meal within 20-30min. My favorite part of each class by far is being able to try everything she makes…and we are not talking a little sample…you get to have as much as you would like. 😉 I would recommend going to her classes for sure. Keep up the good work! 😉

    • Thanks Niki! You have been a great student. I really appreciate your eagerness to learn about ways to live a healthier lifestyle. I look forward to having you in my class again soon! 😉

Met Heather last week at a We Be Healthy Cooking Class. I LOVED her Basil & Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Wraps with Zucchini Hummus. I was really impressed on how easy it was to make and how Heather was so knowlegeable about the ingredients that were unfamiliar to me. I enjoyed learning and plan to buy her cookbook.
